❝  I  AM,  ❞    her indifference towards him is endearing.  too often do other heroes  (  especially the young ones  )  trip over themselves  &  become tongue-tied when they’re around steve.  he always enjoys talking with them but it gets difficult when they ask him for  autographs  &  SELFIES.  however,  steve knows plenty about america  &  he’s impressed.   ❝  i figured you’d be a  FAN —–  ❞     he says while motioning to her star-spangled outfit.  it is far more modern  &  less  TACTICAL  than his own but the two of them together look like a  FOURTH  OF  JULY  parade. 

america’s lips reluctantly pull into a smirk before she can help herself, and she raises a brow.   ❛   you’re not the only one who can wear the stars and stripes, chico.  ❜   he may have been the first to make it a serious fashion choice, but the motif didn’t end with him. besides – she was a fan of the look. it was in her name. it was the legacy of her mothers.   ❛  and besides, stars are kind of my thing.  ❜    the stripes, she could live without.   ❛   but yeah. i’m a fan  — of the stars. the armor & helmet part  — not so much. it’s a bit much.  ❜
