❛ A la grande. ❜ america uses her inside voice — a feat not to be lightly taken. something that she hopes the black widow will keep in mind, in case her fists start flying at the bad guys before they’re supposed to. she feels itchy, not used to waiting for a moment to take the baddie of the day down. she usually tends to make the moment herself. she’s starting to regret agreeing to come along on this mission, admiration for the black widow damned. she’s dying … of boredom. ❛ is it always like this ? ❜

Activity on this blog may be a little sporadic at times! I will try and be on here as much as possible, but I have college to focus on and have another roleplay blog, fiftystars, that is my main roleplay blog.
America Chavez is a LATIN AMERICAN superhero, and so in interactions with real life faceclaims, America's faceclaim will be JULIANA HERZ. ๏ผ*´โฝ๏ฝ*๏ผ this is a mutuals only blog. i am a selective blog, meaning i do not do automatic follow backs. if i haven't followed you back immediately, do not worry! chances are, i saw you follow me but i haven't had the time to check your blog out yet. or, inversely, you're a new blog, and i haven't been able to see any form of writing yet. IF WE'RE MUTUALS, feel free to interact with me in any way you'd like! whether it's through ask memes, greeters, liking starter posts, etc. feel free to send me a message ooc as well! if i'm following you, it means i want to interact with you. me following you is basically the green light. slam down on the gas as much as you want! IF WE'RE NOT MUTUALS, if you're following me but i'm not following you back, you can still send me ask memes or like certain starter calls! i can't guarantee i'll reply, but i will definitely check out your blog, and chances are i'll follow you back.
i do not play america chavez to ship her, but she is very flirty and friendly towards females, so the chances of ships are high! that being said, america is a lesbian. she has absolutely no romantic interest in boys whatsoever. my main otp for america is amerikate, but i won't be shipping her with every kate out there. i also ship amerilisa. for other ships, america's romantic interest in female muses will happen strictly based off of muse chemistry!.
I AM NOT AN EXCLUSIVE BLOG. i have not ever, and do not currently, practice exclusivity with muses. i am a selective blog, but i like to give all of my mutuals the opportunity to roleplay. i do this because if i was following someone, i'd like the same opportunity. it's the entire reason i follow people: i want to interact with them. i don't like to deprive people of that opportunity. i understand exclusivity makes people feel secure; and that people have good reasons for it. i have no problem with people who practice exclusivity, but it is not for me personally. if we're following one another and you become exclusive (exclusive, not mains) with another person who plays the same muse as me, i will unfollow you. i only follow people i interact with, and if we no longer have that option, then i will unfollow!
all icons ; all psds ; all graphics ; all headcanons ; all coding ; all characterization, all of it belongs to me. it's a product of hard work and blood and sweat and tears. a lot of it. DO NOT STEAL FROM ME. if you have a question about coding ; ask me. i'll be more than happy to help you out with it personally, or by linking you to a website or page that can teach you how to do it! don't go behind my back and take a look at my code and take pieces from it. on the other hand: the character of ms america, aka america chavez, does NOT belong to me. the character belongs to MARVEL, and america chavez was created in 2011, by joe casey and nick dragotta.
america chavez was born in the UTOPIAN PARALLEL to her two mothers, red and blue. princess of utopia, america lived happily in her world, granted powers by the demiurge, the maker of her world. it wasn't until she was six years old that america lost her two mothers as they sacrificed themselves to keep utopia safe. six years old, and america decided to live up to her mothers legacies, and do the same as they had done: save people. with utopia safe from harm and destruction, america opened up a portal and began her adventures through the multiverse. throughout the next eleven years, america would come to see a lot of things, and learn even more. new species, new people, the void and the inbetween, the exo-space. she'd see countless realities and countless versions of people in those realities. she'd see the good, the bad, the ugly.
she became a member of the YOUNG AVENGERS, where she kept an eye on both kid loki - of whom she was not a fan of, and would take down the second it became necessary - and on billy kaplan - the boy who would become the demiurge. her creator.
america chavez was born on july 4th, in accordance with her namesake. she is unapologetically herself, and most of the times that means being blunt and straightforward. she isn't afraid to tell it like it is, no matter who she's telling it to. the superheroes of earth - 616 may have the respect of their fans and new and upcoming heroes, but america has always been of the mind that respect is something to be earned. until you earn her respect, america will treat you just like she does anyone else she meets. it's not a bad thing if she likes you or doesn't mind you --- america is not mean or rude to be mean or rude. america is a welcoming person when she wants to be, and will never insult or disparage someone who doesn't deserve it. to most people, she's a friendly soul, just without the false niceties or small talk.
but if you get on her nerves? if you piss her off? if you do something she doesn't like, or sees as dangerous, or sees you as dangerous? america has fists of steel that can punch through buildings, and a mouth to match, and she isn't afraid to use either to bring people back down to size. every action has meaning behind it. america can be cold and distant at times, emotionally, unused to opening up to others and too used to going it alone and dealing with her issues and her problems on her own, by her own. it's pure necessity, a survival trait she's picked up in her fourteen years traversing the multiverse. friends are hard to come by, especially those who stay (or those she stays with), and as a result of her emotional isolation, she tends to reject emotional comfort or outright deny and hide anything is wrong. it takes a close friend to bust her out of her shell, but once she does, america shows a different side to her: more open, more willing to engage in physical affection, but she still struggles to get the words out and drop her defenses even with kate and her girlfriend lisa. despite this, america is a very kind, caring, and compassionate person. her heart is too big for her chest, and her tough words are belied by her deep seated belief and trust in love, and how it can heal and how it can triumph over all else. it's a sappy thing, but despite her resistance to emotional openness, america is unafraid to let everyone know she believes in love. she isn't naive, and knows that the worst lurks in people, and that the world is a cruel place, but america is firm in her want and her need and her nature to follow in her mothers' footsteps and help all of the good people all across the multiverse. medic of the multiverse is an apt name for america chavez, as she works hard to put her powers to use and help those in need. unfortunately, it also means that she tends to take failure and death hard, and it weighs heavy on her heart, to the point where she can tend to blame herself for those who aren't saved. she tries to save as many people as she can, but she knows she can't save everyone.her allegiences lay with no one and nothing other than the people, and she considers herself a champion and protector of the people, even if it means from other people --- or from other well meaning but misguided heroes. america has been with the teen brigade, the young avengers, and now the ultimates, but she will never hesitate or be afraid to stand against anyone who starts down a path she knows will end badly. she's been to an infinite amount of worlds and dimensions, enough to know when something is a bad idea, and when to stand up and take a stance. whether it's against galactus, or captain america.
CWII TIMELINE. America Chavez has been a member of THE ULTIMATES for a couple of months now. It's been sort of fun, sure: she's been able to punch a lot of things and show her stuff to the team. But she's always been keeping both eyes open in case Carol Danvers or anyone else decided to go too far. It's nice and all helping people and saving the world, but if anyone steps out of line ... she's going to be the first to kick them back. main verse.
YOUNG AVENGERS. Having followed Kid Loki to where Billy Kaplan was, America ends up joining the Young Avengers and going along with them on their journeys. At first, it's only to protect Billy, the future Demiurge, from Kid Loki (and whatever he has planned), but despite her best intentions and however she may look and act on the outside, America quickly finds herself calling these people her friends. While her mind is deadset on finding the fake Patriot and Mother, she has to admit ... travelling the multiverse is a lot less lonely with company.
THE TEEN BRIGADE. Fifteen years old and on her own, America joins the Teen Brigade and decides to work alongside them in completing missions and rescuing people.
